BASI 1000-0305 (2-pack) review
The two-shell box of the same BASI dome. Identical housing, identical blinking LED, identical absence of any camera — and a lower price per unit than buying two singles.
The conclusion The same shell, cheaper by the pair. Split them across different aspects of the property.
This is the two-shell box of the dome reviewed above it. Same molding, same
LED, same complete absence of a camera. Nothing is recorded by either of them
at any time.
What the pair changes
Only the price per unit, and where they go. Two identical housings on the same
wall invite the comparison that gives a decoy away; the same two on different
aspects of a property — one at a side gate, one over a rear yard — read as
part of an installation rather than as a pair of props.
The rule that governs this whole family
A decoy supplements real cameras; it never replaces them. A property covered
entirely by shells produces nothing on the day it matters, and the owner finds
out then rather than before.
Who it suits
Somebody who fitted one BASI dome, decided it was convincing enough at a
distance, and has a second corner to mark.

The questions we are asked
Is the twin pack simply two singles?
Yes — the same housing at a lower price per unit. There is no difference in the product beyond the quantity in the box.
Should they go on the same elevation?
No. Two identical shells within sight of each other invite comparison, and comparison is how a decoy is spotted. Put them on different aspects of the property, and keep real cameras on the approaches that matter.
Do I need the batteries?
Only if you want the LED. It is arguably more convincing without, since real cameras rarely blink, and it saves replacing cells in an object that does nothing.
Our score

Dome shell · blinking LED · indoor or outdoor · fixings included · records nothing
A dome-shaped shell with a blinking LED and a molded lens, sold by a German lock and security hardware maker. It records nothing at all, and this page will not suggest otherwise.
Best for: A low-value approach already covered by a real camera elsewhere, where a second housing costs nine euros instead of ninety.
Four dome shells · red blinking LED · four warning stickers · records nothing
Four dome shells with red blinking LEDs and, more usefully, four warning stickers. DODUOS states wall, ceiling or door mounting; none of the four contains a camera.
Best for: A larger property or a small business frontage where several corners need marking cheaply.
Two bullet shells · weatherproof · 2 × AAA each · mounting hardware included · records nothing
A pair of weatherproof bullet-style shells running on two AAA cells each, with mounting hardware supplied. Jiavlyx states outdoor suitability; neither shell contains a camera.
Best for: A bullet-shaped decoy where the rest of your real cameras are also bullets, so the shapes match.
