HUXGO HXA-SB300 review
HUXGO's larger outdoor siren: 120 dB with adjustable volume and a strobe, a 5000 mAh backup battery, tamper protection, and pairing with up to ten HUXGO hubs.
The conclusion The siren for a long power cut and a multi-building property. Built for HUXGO systems.
The larger of HUXGO’s two sirens, and the differences are capacity and the number of
panels rather than volume: both reach 80 m.
The battery is the specification
5000 mAh against 1000 in the smaller model. A siren’s backup cell exists for
one situation — the mains has been cut — and capacity is how long it can go on
sounding afterwards. That is the difference between a siren that protests for
a while and one that is still going when anybody arrives.
Ten hubs
Unusual, and specific. A property with a house, a workshop and a garage, each
with its own panel, can share a single loud outdoor siren rather than
installing three. If that describes your buildings, this is one of very few
products that supports it.
How it connects
It pairs with HUXGO panels on 433 MHz, at up to 80 m (262 ft) in open field —
which is modest against the 868 MHz systems in this hub, and adequate across a
normal property. HUXGO also states wired configurations without naming the
contact, where the HXA-SB120 publishes an NC/NO input.
Mounting
Larger and heavier, and it still belongs high on a visible elevation and out
of reach. Height is what makes a siren awkward to silence; volume is only the
second question.
Who it suits
A HUXGO installation across more than one building.

The questions we are asked
What does 5000 mAh actually buy?
Time. A backup battery in a siren exists for the case where the mains has been cut, and capacity is how long the siren remains able to sound after that. Five times the cell of the smaller model means the siren survives a long outage rather than a brief one.
Why pair with ten hubs?
For a property with more than one building — a house, a workshop, a garage — each with its own panel, one loud outdoor siren serving all of them is cheaper and clearer than three. It is a specific arrangement and this is one of the few sirens that supports it.
What about the wired option?
HUXGO states “wired configurations” for integration with other siren systems, without naming the contact. The smaller HXA-SB120 in this hub publishes an NC/NO wired input: if your hub is from another maker, that is the model whose compatibility is written down.

85–110 dB · 868 MHz AirShield, to 1,200 m (4 ft) open field · warning light · burglary, fire and panic tones
The outdoor siren for Goliath's AirShield system: 85 to 110 dB with a warning light, three distinct alarm tones, and 868 MHz radio quoted at up to 1,200 m (4 ft) in open field.
Best for: A Goliath system on a property large enough that the hub and the siren are far apart.
100 dB from two piezo speakers · solar with replaceable NiMH pack · outdoor · needs an Access Point
A solar-powered outdoor siren with two piezo speakers at 100 dB and an optical signal, running on a replaceable NiMH pack charged by its own cell. It requires a Homematic IP Access Point and the app.
Best for: A Homematic IP installation where running a cable to the siren is not practical.
115 dB · strobe · 433 MHz to 80 m (262 ft) or wired NC/NO · 1000 mAh backup · tamper protection
A siren for indoors and sheltered outdoors, with a strobe, connectable either wirelessly at 433 MHz to HUXGO panels or by wire on a normally-closed contact, with a 1000 mAh backup cell and tamper protection.
Best for: A system that needs both a wireless and a wired option — including older panels with a spare NC output.
