Goliath appears three times, and the technical argument is the same in two of them.
Why 868 MHz two-way matters
The 868 MHz band is reserved in Europe for short-range devices with limited transmit time, so a sensor at the far end of a house is not competing with every router and doorbell in the street, and it travels further through masonry than 2.4 GHz.
Two-way is the more important half. The hub and each sensor confirm one another, so a sensor with a dead battery, a removed sensor or a jammed radio is reported rather than assumed. One-way systems treat silence as normal — which is precisely the state an intruder is trying to produce.
The snapshot camera
The starter set includes a motion detector that photographs what triggered it. Every alarm eventually raises the same question — was that a person or the cat — and this answers it without driving home.
It is also a camera inside a room, taking pictures when the system decides. Choose the room deliberately.
The intercom
The two-wire AV-BLS-07A reuses an existing bell cable in most houses, and comes with two monitors. On a two-story house the second panel is what makes an intercom used rather than run downstairs for.
Before ordering from the US
None of the three is listed on Amazon US: they are sold on the European Amazon stores. The 868 MHz band is a European allocation, not one that US alarm equipment is built around, so the alarm set and the siren belong to a European installation.
